Steve Mason was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by a fiercely independent single mother who taught him the value of hard work and loyalty.
After relocating to Central Ohio as a teenager, he began a career in law enforcement and has gained supervisory experience across a wide range of investigations, including sexual assaults, kidnappings and abductions, armed robberies, and aggravated burglaries. He proudly holds a Master of Business Administration from Bowling Green State University and has experience in contract negotiations and all aspects of labor relations.
Mason believes that the mission of the Fraternal Order of Police, above all else, is to take care of its members and ensure that they are fairly compensated and treated with dignity.
In his free time, Mason enjoys spending time with his children and the love of his life.
