On behalf of the Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge #9, I would like to congratulate Columbus Division of Police Chief Elaine Bryant on the extension of her contract for another five years.
Chief Bryant and I have enjoyed a positive and professional working relationship built upon open communication, mutual trust, and respect. As the labor leader representing Columbus police officers, we routinely work together on high-level and often complex issues that directly impact our officers, their families, and public safety throughout our city.
I greatly appreciate Chief Bryant’s willingness to engage in meaningful dialogue, work through difficult labor matters, and maintain a collaborative relationship focused on the betterment of the Division and the community we serve.
Strong relationships between labor and management are critical to the long-term success of any law enforcement agency, and I look forward to continuing to strengthen that partnership over the next five years.
