FOP CAPITAL CITY LODGE #9 STATEMENT
The Fraternal Order of Police Capital City Lodge #9 is aware of the arrest of a Columbus Police officer on allegations of domestic violence. Transparency and accountability are essential to maintaining public trust. This incident again demonstrates that our officers will enforce the law and make arrests when probable cause exists, regardless of a suspect’s profession or position. Like any citizen, the accused officer is entitled to due process and the presumption of innocence. The FOP does not represent members for off-duty criminal conduct. Our organization remains committed to accountability, transparency , and the fair application of the law.
